Steven Alwine
CEO
Steven started his healthcare finance career in 1985. In 1987 he began as a Staff Accountant gradually advancing his career through various positions at HealthSouth York until he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer at HealthSouth Nittany Valley in 2002. He returned to his roots in 2011 as Chief Executive Officer back here at HealthSouth York to continue to add to his 24 years of service with HealthSouth. He completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting at York College of Pennsylvania. Steven resides in York with his family where he enjoys reading, needlework and gardening.

Bruce E. Sicilia, M.
Medical Director
Dr. Sicilia has served as Medical Director of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of York since 1994. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Sicilia is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), spinal cord injury, neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine, pain management, independent medical evaluations (IME), and acupuncture. Additionally, Dr. Sicilia has a degree in speech pathology and has served as a professor of PM&R at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., prior to coming to HealthSouth. He is in private practice at York Rehabilitation Associates, P.C., and can be reached at 717-764-0840.

Julie Scott
Chief Nursing Officer
Joining HealthSouth in 2001, Julie has served as the daytime Nursing Supervisor since 2007. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from York College in 2000 and most recently achieved her designation as a Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse in 2009. Julie resides in York with her family.

Elaine Charest
Director Of Therapy Operations
Joining HealthSouth in September 2011, Elaine oversees the occupational, physical and speech therapy services within the hospital and at the four outpatient locations. She brings more than 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist and rehabilitation manager in the areas of non-profit healthcare, home health care and school based services. Elaine holds a master’s degree in business administration from Western New England College, and an advanced master's of arts and a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Tufts University. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has served on the board of the Ronald McDonald House- Springfield, MA, and the Association of Prosthetic & Orthotics Clinics and has volunteered on the National Board for Certification for Occupational Therapy. Having recently moved to York County from Massachusetts, she is interested in becoming more involved with the local community.

Courtney Stoner
DMO
Joining HealthSouth in December 2008, Courtney oversees the administration of the hospital’s comprehensive marketing plan and the hospital’s admissions office.  Courtney brings more than 10 years of experience in the community health and development arenas from not-for-profit organizations in York County, including WellSpan Health, Hanover Hospital and the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center.  Courtney holds a master’s degree in health communication from Tufts University School of Medicine and bachelor’s degree in biology and communications from Albright College. She is a board member for the United Way of York County and the American Heart Association.

Pamela DeLuca
Controller
Pam joined HealthSouth in May 2011 and brings more than 17 years of accounting experience across various industries, including seven years in healthcare. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg University. Pam resides in Mechanicsburg with her husband and son.

Daniel C. DeFalcis, MD
Associate Medical Director, Director of Neurological Rehabilitation, and Director of Spasticity Management
Dr. DeFalcis has been with HealthSouth since 2002. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. DeFalcis is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), independent medical evaluations (IME), pain medicine, and spinal cord medicine. Sally Arthur
Director of Human Resources
Sally has been with HealthSouth since May 1997 and has more than 25 years of health care human resource experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University and a master’s degree in human resources from LaSalle University. Sally is a 25-year member of ASHHRA (American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration) and SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management), and holds a PHR certification from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Michelle Zimmerman
Director of Case Management
Michelle started her career as a staff healthcare social worker in August of 1983. HealthSouth acquired the hospital in 1994 where she continues to work. Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Shippensburg University and has held various positions during her tenure with the hospital. She currently supervises the inpatient Case Management Department.

Jacqueline Conklin
Joining HealthSouth in January 2012, Jacqui oversees the hospital’s quality initiatives, including compliance with regulatory agencies and patient safety. She is a registered respiratory therapist and has more than 28 years of clinical and healthcare management experience.
